About us: The beginning of Brighton social networking...
Making friends in Brighton hasn't always been this easy. Believe it or not, CitySocialising is only a fairly new invention in this city and hasn't always been around to help you meet new people in Brighton and Hove! With such a diverse culture in Brighton, friends who share your interests used to be hard to find. CitySocialising is an on and offline community developed to make it easier for professionals to meet new people.
CEO and founder of CitySocialising, Sanchita Saha, began to research and develop her idea for a real-world social network for outgoing professionals in 2005, with the help of the Princes Trust. The trial site was, unsurprisingly, a total success and helped those looking to meet new people connect both online and offline.
CitySocialising launched their first network in London in January 2007 and it wasn't long until it was the Capital's leading social network site for the city's professionals. By October 2007 seven other UK cities had their own CitySocialising service, including CitySocialising Brighton. Social networking for professionals, searching for new like-minded Brighton friends, then became available to all Brightonians.
It's a fantastic way to make friends and meet new people in Brighton and, due to the success of the site in connecting people with genuine new friends for life, in 2009, further cities were added to the network.
CitySocialising promotes platonic friendships which are initiated online and then further developed offline.
