CitySocialising Brighton: Networking and making friends in Brighton.CitySocialising began in London in January 2005, set up with start-up funding from the Prince's Trust, and was created to help young professional newcomers to London integrate more easily into life in the Capital by guiding them round the city's social scene and connecting them with like minded others so they could create new networks of friends to enjoy life in the city with.Now over half of our members in the Capital are seasoned London professionals seeking an easy and relaxed way to platonically meet new local people, with no dating undertones, games or gimmicks, to kick start their social lives and expand their existing circle of friends beyond their usual social/work crowd, making the most of London's vibrant social scene in the process. Because of the fantastic response to CitySocialising in London, and the positive impact on the lives of over 10,000 young professionals there, in October 2007 a CitySocialising site and service was launched in Brighton, and eight other UK cities, and we now help our fast-growing community of over 17,000 members across the UK to form their own local networks of new friends, connect with like minded others and enjoy life in their city to the max! The idea for CitySocialising came from our research into the social requirements of professionals living and working in UK cities. We found that a huge percentage of those in their 20s and 30s were particularly keen to expand their real world social networks, and identified that this was because:
